We offer home dog boarding services. Our service includes:-
Safe home environment for up to 3 dogs from the same family with a dedicated room for bedtime

Licenced by Leeds City Council for small/medium size breeds only

Dogs must be over 6 months old.
Dogs must be in good health.
Dogs must be neutered/spayed.
Dogs must be house trained & good natured & able to settle overnight.
Dogs must be vaccinated and we will need to take a copy of your vaccination certificates for Canine Distemper, Infectious Canine Hepatitis (Canine adenovirus) Leptospirosis (L. canicola and L. icterohaemorrhagicae) and Canine Parvovirus and other relevant diseases. The course of vaccinations must have been completed at least four weeks before your dog(s) stay with us.
Dogs must not be registered under the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991.
Dogs must have up to date flea treatment.
You must provide your own food.
We recommend you provide your own dog bed.
Although you can manage your account and pay online, bookings for dog boarding cannot be made online. As we can only board from one family at a time, bookings will be on a first come first served basis.
Price per hour (£15.00 minimum charge applies)
Book 7 days (168 hours) or more and get a 10% discount off your total invoice
Drop off Friday at 6pm & collect Sunday Midday = 42 hours = £42.00
Drop off Friday 6pm and collect following Friday 6pm = 192 hours = £192.00 - 10% = £172.80

Who are Muts 'n' Moggies and how many staff are there?
There's just the two of us, Carl & Jennifer, and we trade as Muts 'n' Moggies.
How long have you been pet sitters?
We have been pet sitting non-stop since 2002. How time flies!
Do you charge per pet or per visit?
Except for dogs, we charge per visit, so whether you have one pet or more, the price is the same. Within reason of course. We reserve the right to charge extra in certain circumstances. However, prices will be agreed prior to the care period.
Do you charge extra for administering medication such as tablets or insulin injections?
No. This is all part of the service.
Can we leave our key with you at all times?
Yes. All keys are uniquely tagged, unidentifiable and securely stored.
Are you discreet?
As much as we can be. We only use low key vehicles.
How much notice do you need before each care period?
If you are a new customer then ideally we would like a couple of weeks notice to allow us time to arrange an initial visit. If you are an existing customer and we already have your key then services can be booked online or with us directly at short notice. Next day services should be booked no later than 8pm. However, we also have holidays, so to avoid disappointment, please book as early as possible. We usually book our holidays out of season though! Details of our holiday dates are displayed at the top of the page when you log into your online portal.
Do you do dogs?
We offer regular dog walking and pee stop services. However, our Cliverton insurance does not cover us to visit dogs that will be left unattended overnight.
How do you transport dogs?
Dogs are secured during transit. Our van is equipped with TransK9 dog cages which have been independently crash tested and have an emergency escape hatch at the rear. Dogs are never tethered during transport.
Where do you walk dogs?
This very much depends on which clients we have scheduled and can vary week to week. Horsforth Hall Park, Rodley Park & Stanningley Rugby pitch areas are popular locations.
Do you charge for an initial visit to meet our pets?

How long do you stay when you visit our pets?
This depends on what is required and how many pets you have, but usually we are in attendance for around 20 minutes.
Do you provide food and litter, etc?
No. You must provide these. However, should you run out during the care period, we will purchase more and add the cost to your invoice.
How do we pay you and how soon after the care period do you need payment?
Invoices are electronic and are viewable online. Details will be emailed to the address provided unless you request a paper copy. Your invoice is due for payment within 30 days from the end of the care period. We accept cash, cheques, bank transfers or debit/credit cards via your online portal. Details will be printed on your invoice. We also accept Paym mobile payments to 07773284637. We reserve the right to charge extra fees for late payment.
Do you have holiday cover?
Of course we need holidays too. We may occasionally organise someone to cover whilst we are away but this is rare and you would be notified. We tend to go away during quiet periods.
Why are you called Muts 'n' Moggies & not Mutts 'n' Moggies?
Back in 2002 the domain name www.muttsnmoggies.co.uk was not available. Since then we have managed to purchase www.muttsnmoggies.co.uk. Either address works now but we decided to keep the name Muts 'n' Moggies. You can also reach us at www.petsit.co.uk.
Do you have a dog grooming shop on Richardshaw Lane?
No. Mutz 'n' Moggies Dog Groomers on Richardshaw Lane is an entirely separate business run by Gail Senior.
Based in Farsley, Leeds, West Yorkshire, Carl & Jennifer have been providing a range of pet sitting & dog walking services for the last 15 years to clients in surrounding areas of Leeds & Bradford.
Our pet sitting/visiting service is an ideal alternative to a cattery. We visit your cat(s) and/or other small animals in your home, as often as you like. If required, we will also draw curtains, alternate lights & prep wheelie bins, etc.
Looking for a dog walker? Our dog walking services are ideal for those who work long hours or are no longer able to walk their dogs.
If you don't have pets we can still do property checks for those who spend long periods away from home.
All of our clients have access to their own online portal. This allows you to keep your details up to date, communicate with us, view your scheduled services, view invoices, book our services & pay online. There is also an app available too!
